Young South African ‘Sim Tiger’ on the way to become a golfing legend, at only 7 years old

Simthandile ‘Sim Tiger’ Tshabalala, has shown such outstanding talent on the golf course that the world will not be able to not notice him !

Humble beginnings

Simthandile Tshabalala learned how to play golf from YouTube videos he was watching with his father, Bonginkosi Tshabalala.

The young Sim tried several sports, tennis, swimming, cricket, soccer, but none stuck until he picked up a golf club.

His father had no clue about the rules of the game, so he decided him and his son would learn together. He bought some clubs, and would sit with his son, and watch YouTube videos with coaching tips, trying to learn the game. They then started going to the driving range together, and Sim seemed to really enjoy. That”s when his father decided to get him formal coaching, and several hours of practice each week. Sim got amazingly committed to the game.

A bright future

Sim Tiger has only been professionally coached for the last few years, but has already won over 20 trophies since taking to the golf field.
