The pivot of Orlando Magica Bismack Biyombo, launched “Child Of Africa” a mobilization of the children of Africa wishing to act to make a change on their continent.
The “Child of Africa” campaign
The “Child of Africa” campaign was born from a discussion that the basketball player had with Akon, Djimon Hounsou, Fally Ipupa and Isha Sesay. He noticed that each of them were doing social actions on their side, but that the impact would be greater if they combined their actions. Thus he managed to gather around his cause all these celebrities, and the campaign “Child of Africa” saw the day. Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o and Didier Drogba soon joined the initiative.
“Child of Africa” plans to use school building fundraisers, rural electrification, school scholarships etc. They want to bring solutions to the problems that arise in different countries of the African continent.
