Madagascar:Tapakila, an application for the purchase of electronic tickets

A group of young Malagasy have just launched Tapakila, an application facilitating the purchase of electronic tickets, allowing to reserve a place to participate in various events in Madagascar.

Now in Madagascar, there is no need to queue and manipulate liquidity in order to buy a show ticket or an entrance ticket for an event. All this is now possible with the application.

Tapakila, how does it work ?

Simply log on to the site, via facebook, or messenger, to make online reservations. Payment is then made via Mobile Banking. Once at the event, the users present their electronic tickets, which they have received by mobile phone after the purchase. The organizers of the events then perform a scan of the tapakila at the entrance.

Sommes avantages of the app

According to the creators of the app, there are multiple benefits of the application. Tickets are tamper-proof even if they can be printed. Event organizers can monitor the evolution of ticket sales in real time.

Tapakila is an innovative solution in Madagascar. For now, the company (which has the same name as the app), counts on the ticketing of events, but in the future, hopes to embark on transport services.
