Diamniadio Lake City: a futuristic real estate project for the suburbs of Dakar
Revolutionary real estate project, “Diamniadio Lake City” is a futuristic city that is coming to Senegal, about thirty kilometers from Dakar.
Thought to unblock Dakar, the capital of the country, which is currently saturated by a growing population, the project is estimated at $ 2 billion (CFAF 1,300 billion). This represents a unique development project in West Africa. The city will be located 30 km south-west of Dakar and will extend over an area of 1644 hectares, and should eventually accommodate 350,000 inhabitants.
Diamniadio Lake City will have residential areas, hotels, a business district consisting of a fashion avenue, excursion and entertainment areas. Senegal is changing ! Indeed, DLC was designed “in response to the new aspirations of a Senegalese population that assumes its modernity, its High-class lifestyle and its pronounced taste for elegance.”
The city will be well served by transport, because it is located at the crossroads of major roads. It will be easy to reach the interior of the country, or reach the future international airport, 15 km away. The TER, the first regional electric express train, scheduled for 2019, will also contribute to improved travel.
