Cameroon: Gaëlle Enganamouit to create a women’s football academy
At a donation ceremony for vulnerable children, Gaëlle Enganamouit, the African gold ball of 2015, announced the creation of a football academy in Cameroon.
The 24-year-old Cameroonian player aspires to contribute to the training and supervision of young girls in her country, in social and sporting terms. The project will be realized by the Foundation of the Child of the Rails (FER) of which Gaëlle, the star of the Cameroonian national team, is the founding president.
During her recent stay in Cameroon, the best African player of the year 2015 took the opportunity to give a visit to the orphans of the Petit Dan and Sarah Foundation, as well as to the students of the Akougou Bilingual CES in the Soa district, suburb of the Cameroonian capital Yaounde. The soccer player handed out school supplies, bench tables and many basic necessities to young children.
After three seasons at FC Rosengård in the Swedish First Division, Gaëlle Enganamouit deposited her suitcases earlier this year at Dalian Tianjin Quanjian Women’s FC, a Chinese club, for a two-year contract estimated at nearly 180 million CFA francs .
“Through our Foundation, we will move closer to other associations in order to continue to provide assistance to disadvantaged children. Our goal is to promote education because it is necessary above all to be well educated for better progress “(Gaëlle Enganamouit).
