Afrobeat legend new world record for longest note on saxophone
Femi Kuti, Nigeria’s Afrobeat legend, and son of the Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has broken the World record for the longest single note held on a saxophone at the New Africa Shrine on May 14 at the New Africa Shrine.
Femi broke the record with a 51 minutes, 35 seconds note, beating the previous record held by Vann Burchfield, who did 47 minutes, 5.5 seconds.
Part of Femi’s secret for being able to achieve this, is: slowing the tension in your body, and keeping your mind focused.
