Bloomberg recently revealed its ranking of the 50 most influential personalities of the economic world, and in it there are three African. These are Tidjane Thiam, Aliko Dangote and Mo Ibrahim.
Franco-Ivorian Tidjane Thiam (23rd in the overall standings) appears in first position on the African scale. He is the former CEO of Britain Prudential, and in June 2015 became General Manager of Credit Suisse. He is the first African to integrate this Bloomberg ranking in 2012.
The second African is the richest man in Africa, the Nigerian Aliko Dangote owner of Dangote Group who occupies the 41st place in the world. The last African on the list is Sudanese billionaire Mohammed “Mo” Ibrahim (48th), who runs a telecommunications empire (founder of Celtel and MSI) and the Mo Ibrahim Foundation a foundation for the promotion of good governance in Africa
