In order to address the many barriers faced by many school-aged girls in sub-Saharan Africa, namely lack of teachers, domestic work, Gems education Solutions (an international education company) created MGCubed, Platform that offers quality distance education using solar technology and satellite computers connected in rural classes.
Teaching responsibilities are placed in the hands of six teachers. MGCubed allows to cope with the limited number of professors and reach more students. Indeed, MGCubed allows to have ratio of 1000 pupils for 1 teacher.
Offered to more than 5,000 students per year, customized digital content complements the expertise of teachers and offers a rich and student-centered program. The group also hopes to spread this model of education in other countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
