News Beats Uganda
In Uganda, young talents Daniel Kisekka, aka Survivor and Sharon Bwogi, aka Lady Slyke found an interesting way to provide a rapped version of the news in a bid to get African youth interested in current affairs.
They report on local, national and international events for their weekly five-minute programme NewzBeat. The news is broadcast in both English and the local language Luganda on the popular channel NTV every Saturday afternoon and evening before the station’s traditional news bulletins
