This year marks the 25th year of the gathering, which launched in Geneva in 1990.
This years them is: “Then and Now: Reimagining Africa’s Future”.
More than 1,250 participants are expected to be part of “the largest ever held in Africa by the World Economic Forum.”

– “Designing Smarter Cities” that looks on ways to promote urban planing and green strategies for pollution
– “Industrializing Africa” that will discuss lowering the cost of transport, energy and talent on the continent
– “Transforming Education in Africa” that addresses the quality gap and explore scaling public-private models
– “Powering Africa” that looks at how to level the playing field in opening access to energy markets.
